Guy Mitchell - She Wears Red Feathers / Why Should I Go Home (1953)
It is first announced as a new 78rpm in the supplement for March 1953. Perhaps the DTP tax code is more related to to the pressing date, rather than the release date?

Alfred Cortot - Valse In A Flat, Op. 69, No. 1 (Valse Des Adioux) / Tarantelle, Op. 43 (1932)
The HMV DA series is 10", so this sleeve is an advert for this record on a sleeve for a different series, probably a DB series record.

Jan 1931 comes from a more precise source than Eddie Shaw - the late Frank Andrews' handwritten notebooks covering the whole series month by month. Eddie's DATES should only be used as a guide.

Harry Parry And His Radio Sextet - The 1948 Super Rhythm-Style Series No. 35 & 36 (1948)
This SRS series duplicated some of the numbers used. This record was released as No.35/36, but another record was released (R 3132 by the Teddy Wilson Trio) also as No. 35/36 in Sept 1948. R 3132 was later probably renumbered as No.57/58 of the series. See http://www.concertinas.org.uk/AncientAudio/RS-1947+V1.pdf for listings of the SRS series from 1948 onwards.

John McCormack - Nearer, My God To Thee (1914)
McCormack's recordings were issued on the HMV Violet label, which was discontinued sometime after the 1919 annual catalogue, and do not appear in the 1920 catalogue. I have searched all available annual catalogues up to 1920, and this record does not appear in any of them. It looks like this recording was never issued in the UK until 1924 when it was issued on HMV double-sided DA-312. It seems that discographers have probably taken this 4-2374 'face number' on DA-312 and used it to predict an earlier single sided issue. I have sent a PM to one of the 'owners' of this record for further clarification.

John McCormack - Nearer, My God To Thee (1914)
The previous catalogue number 4-2373, also recorded by McCormack at Camden on the same day (1 May 1913), was issued in the October 1913 HMV New Records supplement page 4. Other recordings with similar catalogue numbers were also issued towards the end of 1913. However I can't find any of the main annual catalogues for subsequent years (1914,1915) listing 4-2374. Two members claim to own this record, so we can't say that it exists only in documents, and was never issued. So this remains a mystery. But long before Bolig, John Bennett lists this record in his 1955 Voices Of The Past Volume 1.

Enrico Caruso - Crucifixus / Libiamo Ne' Lieti Calici (1924)
It's not quite that simple, Han. The December date came from something I'd read, and I forget where now. The 1924 catalogue has some issued by March 1924, and some still as single sided. So perhaps the transfer was completed by/in December. More digging when I get time. But 1924 is the best approximation for all except DQ 102 (May 1928).

Edmond Clement And Marcel Journet - Au Fond Du Temple Saint / O Viens, Mon Doux Berger (1924)
When UK HMV stopped issuing everything "expensive'' as "single sided only" in Dec 1923, almost all previous issues were recoupled to double sided. The DA/DB double sided series were issued from Jan 1924, as well as the various other D series of 'Celebrity' recordings. All the various HMV D series were 'International' and the foreign HMV companies could choose which to include in their catalogues. See the HMV biog and the notes on the HMV 1924 catalogue which now links to the copy at archive.org. Many foreign HMV companies had been issuing double sided since 1907, see notes at the end of the Gramophone Concert biog.

Ben Selvin - My Sweet Tooth Says I Wanna (But My Wisdom Tooth Says No) / Nobody Loves No Baby (Like My Baby Loves Me!) (1931)
To follow up on what Mike said - it was decided near the beginning of the 78rpm site being started that things like 'and his orchestra' didn't help much, as the personnel varied depending on the date the recording was made. But there were certain combinations with a fairly fixed lineup with titles like 'and his Rumba Band' which we do list.

Unfortunately the B side image got replaced by the A side during editing (not me!). I managed to prevent it being approved, so the B side edit is now mine, and I'll take the blame for it being poor.

Mr. or Master Cook - We'll Meet Again (1940)
My wife's late father also recorded one of these while in service in India, and was never imprisoned or captured. The label on both sides is a variant to image 2351432 with no writing, although the B side was never recorded on and has no groove. The envelope is the same as image 2308148 but brown, and on the back is handwritten his "number, rank and name", "India Command" and "Spoken - English" in the hand of another person. The recording lasts about 1 minute 41 seconds and is a message to his wife and children. Images of the label and full size record have been added.
