TheJudge 30th Apr 2022 | | 78 RPMFrank Weir - From Your Lips / The Happy Wanderer (1954) | It's been listed as a US release because London was the label used for some of Decca (UK)'s material when it was issued in the US and Canada around about that time (the same thing can be seen with 45s). The records were manufactured in the UK and then shipped over.
The Decca name was owned by a separate company in the US, having been sold off by the original Decca company in the 1930s.
(See the first paragraph here)
(As a general rule, we list discs by the country of release rather than the country of manufacture.)

TheJudge 29th Apr 2022 | | 78 RPML'Orchestre Devereaux - Non-Stop / Paris To Piccadilly (1951) | Actually, it was the theme to all of ITN's main bulletins. I always thought that it was a bit jolly to be used for news programmes.
John Malcolm's real name is John Batt.
TheJudge 9th Apr 2022 | | 78 RPM[no artist listed] - Novena Di Natale / Pastorale (1917) | Entry amended.
TheJudge 4th Jan 2022 | | 78 RPMGeorge Shearing Quintet - I'll Be Around / Don't Blame Me (1951) | Duplicate entry deleted and tracks/images shuffled on this one.
TheJudge 22nd Dec 2021 | | 78 RPMNoel Coward - The Stately Homes Of England / Where Are The Songs We Sung (1938) | The Master at work:

TheJudge 19th Dec 2021 | | 78 RPMCaptain W. G. Johnston - Bugle Calls Of U. S. Army (1917) | Would the ones with his rank on be later than the ones without, I wonder?
TheJudge 12th Dec 2021 | | 78 RPMAlma Cogan - Willie Can / Lizzie Borden (1956) | Same might be said for images #414981, 414982 & 1565889.
In any case, shouldn't the blue labels be shown after all the brown ones?
TheJudge 29th Nov 2021 | | 78 RPMBelle Baker - David Hamelech / Eili Eili (1931) | Entries merged.
TheJudge 17th Nov 2021 | | 78 RPM[no artist listed] - Green Sleeves / Monastry Garden | I'm suffciently convinced that I'm inputting the titles. Any different opinions, please add your comment here.
TheJudge 15th Nov 2021 | | 78 RPM[no artist listed] - Green Sleeves / Monastry Garden | Monastry (sic) Garden? As in In A Monastery Garden?
And Green Sleeves for the A-side?
TheJudge 8th Nov 2021 | | 78 RPMHot Shot Willie - Lonesome Day Blues (1997) | I think we need a separate entry for han's scans. It's a double-sided disc with a different cat#.
TheJudge 20th Sep 2021 | | 78 RPMMr. Billy Wilson - Tickle Me, Timothy / I Never Heard Father Laugh So Much Before | See the link in Scratchy45's first comment and you'll see why Lyric ceased.
TheJudge 12th Sep 2021 | | 78 RPMMr. Billy Wilson - Tickle Me, Timothy / I Never Heard Father Laugh So Much Before | Germany was first effectively unified in 1871, but the individual states within it still retained a lot of autonomy (of identity, at least) until the Republic replaced the Empire after WW1.
TheJudge 9th Aug 2021 | | 78 RPMInvicta Sketch Co., And Military Band - Departure Of Kitchener's Army For France / Landing Of Kitchener's Army In France (1915) | Is the 'composer' here the later famous theatrical and TV impressario Val Parnell? The dates would match up - he would have been in his mid-20s at this time.
TheJudge 5th Aug 2021 | | 78 RPMGladys Ripley, Harold Williams And Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra - Elijah (1947) | This would be one (disc 5?) of an 8(?)-disc set, presumably the UK release of this album.
TheJudge 28th May 2021 | | 78 RPMRoy Fox - Mickey's Son And Daughter / It's My Mother's Birthday Today (1935) | A-side memorably covered by The Bonzos here.
TheJudge 20th May 2021 | | 78 RPMLonnie Donegan And His Skiffle Group - Don't You Rock Me Daddy-O / I'm Alabammy Bound (1957) | Funny how no-one has commented in all this time that Wally Whyton's surname is mis-spelled 'Whytton in the composer credit on Side-A.
TheJudge 20th May 2021 | | 78 RPMJohnnie And Jack, The Tennessee Mountain Boys - When You Want A Little Lovin' / Three Ways Of Knowing (1952) | Is that also the 'PREVUE' version, or is yours a stock copy? If the latter - and it has the same pairing of tracks - then the images (if you can provide them) can go on this entry.
TheJudge 26th Apr 2021 | | 78 RPMJim Boyd And His Men Of The West - The Girl In The Picture / Bear Creek Boogie (1950) | Not sure about that, Mike; the cat# on this one is the same for the promo and the commercial release, and the tracks are the same.
TheJudge 22nd Mar 2021 | | 78 RPMالياس شهوان (ابو شها) - Unknown / كام يات يا فكار | That would place this release between 1906 and 1914.
TheJudge 10th Mar 2021 | | 78 RPMVictor Silvester And His Ballroom Orchestra - Paul Jones (1936) | Entry amended accordingly.
TheJudge 5th Mar 2021 | | 78 RPMGwendoline Lawler - Carrissima / Pale Moon | An ad here - https://navyleague.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/The-Navy-Vol_12_Part2-1950-Apr-May-1950.pdf (.pdf) from The Navy magazine (bottom page 4 if you downloaded it) - for Chas. E. Blanks states: "Our Disc Recording Studio caters for reproduction of
Vocal, Instrumental and Personal messages.". So your conjecture appears to be spot-on, Jasper.
TheJudge 3rd Mar 2021 | | 78 RPMMr. Torowicz - Jeszcze Polska Nie Zgineta / Polish Song, No. 4 (1900) | This and other similar entries re-categorised to US.
TheJudge 15th Feb 2021 | | 78 RPMCharles Penrose - The Laughing Policeman (Laughing Song) / Laughter And Lemons (1926) | No. The speed was merely a technical matter. See here for some of the history.
TheJudge 22nd Dec 2020 | | 78 RPMSt. Hilda Colliery Band - The Mill In The Dale / The Forge In The Forest (1920) | More on (what I assume is the same) St Hilda Colliery Band here.
TheJudge 18th Dec 2020 | | 78 RPMChopi Ngodo Dancers - Mchuio / Mtzumeto | I'm wondering if this should be under South Africa, as Gallotone was a ZA label and we have another entry here which was manufactured in England for Gallo.
TheJudge 19th Nov 2020 | | 78 RPMGrand Metropole Band - La Craquette / La Mattchiche | The label could be BelCanto (see Mike Thomas' site). The cat# and matrix# sequences would seem to fit.
