Long time DJ (40 years) Dad was a DJ in the 50's. His friends were in radio and the record business who handed out 45's like candy. Neighbor had a lucrative juke box route. Surrounded by records as a kid. Started accumulating (collecting) in 1959. My main area of expertise is 78 rpms, I've hosted a radio program the last 40 years dealing with vintage jazz, swing, western swing and some pre-war blues thrown in for good measure. I play only shellac on the show, outside of a few air shots. Eventually plan on submitting 78 rpm entries. Gotta get through these 45's first
Bernie Cummins was under contract to Victor at the time, so drummer Radlach was selected as the nominal leader on several Plaza sessions. This is the regular Cummins band.
