 I could give you a reason but have no idea why it was originally decided it was 1951.

 I forgot, we do have separate label headings for Victor and RCA Victor, although they are also linked to each other.

Why, BTW, is this record dated 1951, when the +IP tax code was in force from Jan. 1950-April 1953? Shouldn't we choose the first year whenever a range of years like this is possible? Or is there anything that makes it more likely that demand for a repressing for this record was higher in 1951 than in 1950?

 Not sure what you mean regarding Victor/RCA Victor as they have separate entries. For this one as the Cat. No. on 1931 issue was 1219 and on the 1951 was 01219 is a good enough reason to keep the separate entries.

 Shouldn't this repress be merged (and not just linked) with the original release, Brunswick 1219? Don't we do the same with Victor releases that were later reissued on RCA Victor?
