 Thanks, LaurenceD, I have moved up your label scans because they belong to a pressing from 1938 or early 1939 whereas the other set of labels with the re-recorded B-side ("LA 1849") comes from a copy that was not released before May 1939.

 Added label scans that include the "C 1177" recording of the b-side.

 @tailspin:
This record had been entered here intentionally with release date May 1938, see my comment on the original issue on Perfect 6-05-59. The now corrected "Jan 1936" date for Vocalion 03097 even predates the actual first release on April 15, 1936 (as filed in the Sony Music archives) for some months, but as said in my comment and in the notes here, it wasn't on Vocalion originally but on several ARC "dime store" labels (Perfect, Melotone, and possibly others).

The low Vocalion cat# doesn't mean anything, it was a duplication of the original #3097 from Dec 1935 (for a Henry "Red" Allen record), with the leading digit "0" subsequently added. The displayed labels here (with "LA 1849" mx# on the B-side) belong to a 1939 or later issue anyway, see notes.

[changed back to May 1938]
