This single was originally released on Philo P108. The uploaded A-side label image obviously comes from a 1949 Aladdin reissue (blue label with "Price [79c], Tax Incl." inscription in lower case). It is unclear if the record was actually issued earlier on the Aladdin label, as suggested by the uploaded April 1946 Billboard ad.
I have flipped sides because "The Chicken and the Hawk" was actually the intended "A"-side, see the Atlantic ad. It was recorded just a few weeks before the single release, whereas "Morning, Noon and Night" was a leftover from a session nearly one year earlier. Against Billboard's expectations, "The Chicken and the Hawk" also became the more successful side.
