Although the YouTube link for V-Disc 86 doesn't actually work for me (blocked in Germany for legal reasons), I can at least detect from it that "For You" was not sung by Frank Sinatra but by Jo Stafford:

you know anything about Jo Stafford singing "For You" with Tommy Dorsey? ... @kishi2117 That is on V-Disc number 33.

Maybe you can read these comments in their original form.

Anyway, both sides were recorded by Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra, as the Billboard 1944 Music Year Book confirms on p. 204.

Side A: According to the Sinatra discography, "Put Your Dreams Away" compiled by Luiz Carlos do Nashcimento Silva (Westport CT, The Greenwood Press, 2000), Sinatra never recorded a song entitled "For You" with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Nor is there a listing of any other Sinatra/Dorsey recording that was issued on the V Disc 33 A side.

Simiarly, the Sinatra family website listing of Frank's V Disc discography only lists "Without A Song" for this V Disc release.

The source information for this particular release was retrieved from Richard S. Sears' work, V-Discs: A History and Discography. (Westport, Connecticut, The Greenwood Press, 1980). So, until label scans and/or audio material become available for this apparently rare issue, we are left with a mystery.
