xiphophilos 20 hours ago		Columbia/Standard/Marconi version: This "Vaudeville Speciality" is what people back in 1905 also liked to call a "coon song". It was incredibly popular. Jones and Spencer also released a version on Victor 4491 (1905) and another one on an Edison cylinder (EdisonGold-Moulded Records 9016): The sheet music is available at https://egrove.olemiss.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1046&context=sharris_b (different variants of this exist as well) Interestingly, in 1943 Johnny Jones and his Orchestra recorded a swing version with new (non-racist) lyrics promoting war bonds and kissing your soldier boy: Hit 7051
