historyofcountrymusic 21st Dec 2020		“Dust” was nominated for an Academy Award for best original song in 1938, but did not win. Sources credit Johnny Marvin as composer, although his brother Frankie Marvin worked with Autry more and plays steel guitar on the recording. The movie “Under Western Stars” starred Roy Rogers, who got the role when Autry had a contract dispute with Republic Pictures.
