 The Triton GmbH, which produced these expensive-looking, but in fact very inexpensive records, was registered in the Berlin trade register on July 1, 1932, and declared bankruptcy on May 1, 1933.

Their records consisted of an aluminum core, coated in a thin layer of lacquer on both sides, then covered with something like a golden celluloid foil. Heated to 150-170º Celsius, the blank was put into a record pressing machine.

Today, most of these records, just like many home-recorded lacquer discs from these times, have started to develops cracks and are flaking off, so are no longer playable.
