 I agree; the flowers in the design remind me of Art Nouveau or Vienna Secession.

The gold in labels is always difficult to capture. Ted Staunton in his label gallery does an unusually good job with it: http://www.tedstaunton.com/labels/1920_1929/pages/Puritan_1/puritan_1.html. If you scroll down on his site, you'll see four other versions of the Puritan label, including the one above.

 I just have to say it. These early Puritan labels like this are beautiful. As the light is hitting the label, the photo doesn't do it justice.
