A catalogue of any date doesn't signify anything - other than they tended to be issued annually, usually in the same month, and were named something like '1912 Catalogue' etc. You can see the 1929-30 Zono catalogue in this list and the 1917,1919,1922,1924 and 1926 catalogues here.

If you are looking for a reason for the label change in 1924, it's not related to a catalogue issue.

following up Scrough's Comment, is the significance of a Zonophone 1924 catelogue that 'Zonophone' was re-launched with its new label design in that year? My comment was not one for dating the record or its issue date , mearly that it was in that year - with additional information therein.

Changed back to 1909. The label design is a later reissue but The Twin label copy, when it turns up, would get a separate listing but Zonophone The Twin the earlier label design when that turns up would be the front images of this entry. Also 78 catalogues should be treated with caution for dating as disc in the 1924 catalogue could also appear in the 1915 or 1930 issue. A catalogue entry purely means it is available for purchase not the year it was released.

Zonophone 1924 Sept Catalogue has this listed on Page 15, with composer credits.

Would the T- number indicate for Zonophone an internal reference from tracks from The Twin?

Happy for entry for The Twin to be created (with or without scans) and this to be linked to it, but would expect this disc to have a 1924 date as an early batch of issues?

I have a copy of this record on an orange label " The Twin " numbered 122. Unless the above Zonophone issue was a re-recording then the record probably does go back to 1909 or even earlier ( if not issued promptly after recording date, for instance ). The matrix number on my disc for " The Automobile March " is 6635h, and for the other side " Waltz Song/Red Roses " is 6631h.

The label is 1924+ (see biog). The recording wasn't deleted from the (by then Regal-Zonophone) catalogue until Sept 1934. But, as stated, it was first released on 'The Twin' in May 1909.

Somehow I doubt this actual disk dates from 1909, more likely late 1920s or early 1930s , must have been on catalogue for some years.
