French Export Columbias are in the numeric range 8000 to 15000, 20000 to 29999 Argentine
and 35000 upwards American, and there are probably more, and perhaps even sub-ranges. True British ranges are 100-999 (12") 1000-6000 (10") and 9000 to 9999 (12"). Never easy, is it :)

Hm, it is similar for Dutch records, often pressed in Britain or Germany. The labels and catalogue numbers and/or recordings are then for the Dutch market however. Only noted as 'Made in England'.
Debatable how/where to file. Even without the expected prefix, to me this would look like very much a French release, rather than a British one.

I don't know. I hope some of the British collectors on this site chime in. All I know is that at least one of the French Columbias here similarly says, "Made in England" (cf. https://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/df1804), as do some early Dutch and Finnish Columbia records we have in the database.

Good points, xiphophilos. I don't know much about record company history. Maybe they made albums in England for export to France or Belgium - with French language labels?

What surprises me is the absence of any kind of letter prefix in front of the catalog nr.
I noticed that the same record, also "Made in England", but with cat. nr. L2062, and the note "In French", is currently sold on Ebay. Somehow that looks more like a British release to me.

The record from which I scanned the labels came in its original sleeve - a Columbia New Process Record sleeve, "Made in England by the Columbia Graphophone Co., Ltd., London."

With all the French on the label and the French sticker, I wonder if this really is a British record (even if it says, Made in England).
