 Both sides were recorded on August 5, 1951 in Jackson, MS, together with six more Sonny Boy Williamson sides. The record, however, was apparently not released in Sep 1951 as it was listed here before, unlike the previous number on Trumpet, No. 139. It was announced among the Rhythm & Blues Record Releases in the Billboard issue of March 22, 1952, page 39, and reviewed in the issue of the following week, page 38, and there is no sign that it was actually released before March 1952. In fact, Trumpet adverts in the Billboard magazine strongly suggest that the company's records were not released in a strict numerical order, and so this one obviously came out after No. 145, a Christmas record.

Note that this record has the artist credited as "Sonny Boy Williamson, His Harmonica and House Rockers", unlike the records presumably released before, No. 129, No. 139 and No. 145, which were all credited to just Sonny Boy Williamson.

Following the matrix numbers and according to the Billboard review, I have also flipped sides, with "Stop Crying" as the top side.
