fixbutte 3rd May 2016		On the UK issue, xiphophilos linked a YouTube video to the fantastic B-side, "There'll Be A Hot Time In The Old Town To-Night", which like often is blocked in Germany for GEMA reasons. As there is another one available at the moment; I'll link it here. This joyful performance, far from any blues, is definitely one of my Bessie Smith favorites: As stated by xiphophilos on the UK issue as well, lyrics and background of this ragtime march are to be found on Wikipedia, although Bessie Smith's version is not mentioned there. Needless to say, Bessie Smith's interpretation of "Alexander's Ragtime Band" is great as well:



fixbutte 3rd May 2016		There is no lineup of the Blue Boys on the original US record, and I have taken the credits from DAHR which refers to Rigler-Deutsch Index and Victor blue history card. The record labels of the 1938 UK issue (on Parlophone R. 2477), however, list Buster Bailey on both sides, Charlie Green (on trombone) instead of Jimmy Harrison and, additionally, Kaiser Marshall (on drums) who is not audible if he was there (I guess he wasn't).
