That's fascinating. I wonder if someone at Victor decided to use up some older pressings and simply glued on the new label.

I've fixed the link below, by the way: Harland & Stanley, "Tramp, Tramp, Tramp"

After listening to the 1907 recording on DAHR, it is indeed the 1907 recording by Harlan and Stanley, and the label (Image # 1933477), has the wrong artist listed.

Xiphopilos, there is a 2 etched into the runout at 9 O' clock, and 5201 stamped at 12 O' clock, indicating that this is the 1907 recording by Harlan and Stanley. After listing to the record, I only hear 2 voices. I think that the label is incorrect. The 5201 is a pre-matrix number indicating that it is the prior recording of the single Victor 5201 record. The link below by BigBadBluesMan does not work.

Diogenes The Fox' image with the note "Price 75¢" represents a 1917-1918 repress. The label style of your copy, Bob, which has dropped the price notice but still lists all four patents (1903, 1904, 1905, 1908), was used between 1918 and 1923. Your copy probably has a little nr. 5 in the 9 o' clock position of the B side runout, which would date it to 1920-1923.

B side label added. Also, A side label variant added with the artist now listed as "Criterion Quartet". The A side label (Image # 1933477), with the artist listed as "Criterion Quartet", was recorded on Feb. 25, 1920 in Camden, New Jersey. A side (Image # 427049) with the artists listed as "Harlan and Stanley", was recorded Jan. 23, 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania (Unconfirmed).
