fixbutte 18th Jul 2016		Although I understand stereotom's comment as a suggestion to change the current "31 Mar 1958" release date to April 1958, I feel unable to do the change as long as I don't know where the Wikipedia date of March 31 (which still appears reasonable) comes from.



stereotom 14th Jul 2016		The earliest charting for this single on ARSA is the week (Friday) ending Apriil 11, 1958 where it is a "wax to watch" on WMCA, leading me to believe it was released that week, or the week before (making Friday April 4th a possibility). It was Hitbound on WJJD in Chicago on April 14th, so that also leads me to believe that this would be an April release. If it had been earlier, the Chicago stations surely would've been all over it earlier.

PhilMH SUBS 31st Jan 2015		Hip-O Select's 4 CD set of Chuck's complete 1950's recordings says April 1958 for this. I am inclined to think that they are going by the BILLBOARD date, but if that April 7th issue came out several days before the cover date (which I think is normal for BB), then that makes an April release a bit less likely.



fixbutte 30th Jan 2015		Apparent uncertainty about the release date, which the original contributor had left out. Actually this one was reviewed on Apr 7, 1958 in Billboard and advertised one week later, so the date from Wikipedia, now added here (see also Rate Your Music), seems reasonable whereas the release date on Discogs (29 Dec 1957, i.e. before the recordings were made) is as incorrect as the May 1958 date on 45cat.
