 It is interesting to note that in John Bolig's "Victor Black Label Discography 18000-19000 Series", RCA studio boss Edward T. King is shown as directing the Paul Whiteman orchestra on Side A, not Paul Whiteman himself, as one might expect. I imagine that would have been moderately scandalous, had it been generally known to the record buying public of the time.

In the interest of complete information, Bolig shows the director of the Great White Way Orchestra on Side B to be Hugo Frey. No scandal there. I doubt that anybody outside of the studio knew who was supposed to be leading that orchestra.
