Notes

Tommy Dorsey And His Orchestra.
A side from "Perchance to Dream".
B side from the Gold Picture Production "Breakfast in Hollywood".
Vocal refrains by Stuart Foster.

Both sides recorded: Jan. 16, 1946 (A side: D6-VB-1569; B side: D6-VB-1568).

Very first pressings were among the last to use the old Victor name before 'RCA' was added on.

You'll have to move that number up a bit further. My database has photos of Tommy Dorsey's Victor 20-1819 with the Victor logo.

No it wasn't - a higher Victor number again, advertised in the same Billboard issue and already appreciated by myself as "possibly the last record ever released with the Victor label": 20-1814.

And we even got Victor 20-1815, though probably released a bit earlier, in late Feb 1946 (advertised as RCA Victor 20-1815 in the Billboard issue of Mar 2, 1946, p. 30).

Victor 20-1813, by Henry "Red" Allen again, probably pressed in January 1946 but released only in March, was presumably the last/highest Victor number (RCA Victor New Releases ad in the Billboard issue of March 9, 1946, p. 30).

You're right. As seen on the web, 20-1808 by Henry "Red" Allen and 20-1810 by Johnny Desmond were first printed with Victor labels as well. The label ad, however, in the Billboard issue of Feb 16, 1946, p. 34, already listed Dorsey's and Desmond's records as RCA Victor New Releases.

And we already have an even higher Victor number, 20-1811, here on the database.

This is perhaps one of the very last 78's to use the Victor name on the label, therefore {Images #1443661 & 1443662} has to be a very first-run pressing; it was in the very month of its release that its name was changed to RCA Victor, as seen on this copy.
