Here's an interesting comparison of different versions of "Prisoner Of Love" on YouTube.

Russ Columbo's original:

Perry Como's rendition:

Billy Eckstine (another hit version, as presented in a film):

James Brown live 1967:

It was the designated B-side, "Prisoner Of Love", that made it to #1 on the pop charts (Como's second chart topper), whereas "All Through The Day" charted as well and reached #8. "Prisoner Of Love" had been a hit before for its co-author, the singer, violinist and actor Russ Columbo, in 1932 (see B 4079 for the UK issue), and it was covered, among many others, by James Brown in 1963 (#6 R&B, #18 pop).

This was possibly the last record ever released with the Victor label. Some singles with lower numbers from 20-1801 on (and possibly released a few weeks earlier) already came out with the new RCA Victor label exclusively. The highest Victor number I had seen before was 20-1808. This one here was issued with the RCA Victor label very soon, too.
