xiphophilos 24th Aug 2021		In 1931, Gandhi stayed for 12 weeks at Kingsley Hall, a community center in East London, while he attended the Second Round Table Conference on the future of India in London as the representative of the Indian National Congress. During that time, Columbia Records invited him to make a record. Rather than record a political speech on Indian independence, which could have gotten him arrested again, Gandhi recorded his short essay "On God."
