xiphophilos 24th May 2022		This record, especially the song on the B side ("Sugar Babe, I'm Leavin'!"), is the closest this territory band from the Southern United States ever came to having a hit. The record was not only repressed, but even reissued as Bluebird B-5867 in 1935 and repressed again in 1938. My copy is an original December 1927 Oakland pressing (small "o" above Nipper), a Victor Scroll label with Victor Talking Machine Co. at the bottom, Orthophonic Recording to the left of the spindle hole, and the catalog number to the right side of the spindle hole (used Spring 1927 to Spring 1928). Bob's copy is a repress on Spring 1928 to Spring 1930 Scroll labels with the phrase “Orthophonic Recording” above the Nipper trademark and "For best results, use Victor Needles" to the left of the spindle hole. No small "o" above Nipper = Camden pressing.
