 On the flipside, there is a fine big band version of Meade Lux Lewis' "Honky Tonk Train Blues", featuring pianist Bob Zurke who also contributed the arrangement, which became a hit as well.

 "The Big Noise From Winnetka" was spontaneously composed by Bob Haggart and Ray Bauduc, bassist and drummer of Bob Crosby's Orchestra, on stage when some of the band were late getting back from a break. This skillful and catchy instrumental duet, with additional whistling by Haggart, became extremely popular and can now be seen as one of the key recordings of swing, with a drum 'n' bass lineup that was reaching far into the future.

On YouTube, you can watch the two playing "Big Noise From Winnetka", including Bauduc drumming on the strings of the double bass while Haggart continues playing with his left hand:
