xiphophilos 15th Jan 2022		Image 2858365 is a late Fall 1941-Fall 1943 repress on RCA Manufacturing Co., Inc. ring label with a gap where patent nr. 1637544 used to be; cf. M. W. Sherman, Collector's Guide to Victor Records, 2nd ed., page 105. The two equally long concentric label rings broken at 10 o' clock and 2 o'clock make it a Hollywood, CA pressing.



xiphophilos 14th Jan 2022		The release date is from John Bolig's Victor Black Label Discography, vol. 5, page 51, at https://adp.library.ucsb.edu/VictorBlackLabelDiscography_v5.pdf. It does sound very optimistic to think that Victor could get a record recorded, pressed, and distributed within 6 days. Bolig reports, however, only dates that he found on Victor's blue history cards. It could be that these records were offered to dealers for their orders at that date.



han enderman 14th Jan 2022		Vic 25387 - labels added. It will be evident that the release date 19 Aug 1936 is wrong (recording date 13 Aug), and possibly it was copied from discogs. Is a better date available? Title of -B is ...Meeting on orig. release, but ...Meetin' on subsequent label variants.
