xiphophilos 11th Jun 2020		I've added links to Decca ads and Billboard reviews that show that "A Poor Man's Roses" was indeed initially issued as the A side [now reflected in the entry], but as Jock_Girl says, the B side, "Walkin' After Midnight", immediately took off and became the hit.

Jock_Girl ● 11th Jun 2020		@Mike Gann: Patsy hated Walkin' After Midnight and preferred A Poor Man's Roses. She was strongly persuaded to record it and no doubt a part of that compromise was that it would be the B side. That was in November 1956. Decca prepped everything with that in mind. In January 1957, she was to perform 'Roses' on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scout on the CBS TV network, but once again was convinced to perform 'Midnight'. Response was so great that she won first prize on the show and Decca flipped it for promotion.
Mike Gann 11th Jun 2020		Since the "+" next to the matrix on a Decca designates the b-side, I have to wonder why this is reversed?
