xiphophilos 7th Sep 2023		The recording date that was listed here originally, Sept. 22, 1939, was drawn from http://www.78discography.com/COL35200.htm , which is notoriously unreliable. William Brown, "The Columbia Records (U.S.) 35000 / 40000 Series Popular Singles Discography 1939-1974," New York, NY, 1996, page 7 lists the recording date as "unknown" and the release date as Sept. 25, 1939. He got his dates from documents held by the Sony Music Archives, so they tend to be more reliable. 35266 was released as part of an album for children, Columbia J-1. Maybe that still means it was released around the same time as nearby catalog numbers that were individually sold, but maybe not.

This is confirmed by the recording date, 22 Sep 1939, which excludes a 25 Sep release. Maybe 24 Nov 1939 is an error for 23 Nov?
