 There's a review in Billboard of June 4, 1955 which most probably means that this record was already in the stores in May 1955. If we believe Marv Goldberg and some other sources, Billboard reviews then were usually published some days or even weeks after the release of a record. So a May 1955 release date seems obvious (and not conflicting with the matrix numbers and scrappy recording dates on 78discography.com).

 There is a discrepancy regarding the release date of this issue. The 45 entry indicates April, 1955, the OP indicates June, 1955. The book,"Rhythm & Blues in New Orleans", lists the release date as August ,1955 (which is probably the debut date on the Billboard charts). www.78discography.com lists it circa April-May, 1955 (more like May, according to the matrix numbers). Clarification is needed here.
