 "Confidential" was recorded at Cosimo Matassa's Cosimo Studio in New Orleans on September 4, 1956. From livingwithmusic.com: [Michel Ruppli's] Aladdin discography lists "Confidential" as being recorded at Master Recorders in Los Angeles on October 5, 1956 with a MR prefix for the master number. That entry also lists "MR 613" for "Trouble Blues", which was actually RR 613 and recorded at Radio Recordings on January 14, 1949. This October date is a mastering session for the single (Aladdin 3342) which contains both tunes. In fact, on that single, "Confidential" bears the master number prefix NO, confirming that it was recorded in New Orleans, not at Master Recorders. This is substantiated by the sound of the music and the recording.

 Since the first single is not yet up on the site, and since "Trouble Blues" is such a freaking awesome song, I think a YouTube link is in order.

 This was apparently already Charles Brown's second single in Oct 1956. However, only the A-side, a bluesy cover of Sonny Knight's hit, was new, whereas "Trouble Blues" was a straight reissue of Brown's #1 R&B hit from 1949.
