 Interesting record, and what you say about narrowing down the recording date clearly makes sense. The earthquake spawned lots of songs with the same or similar titles as "The Destruction of San Francisco", see Catalog of Copyright Entries 1906.

 Dahr lists the recording date as ca. Jan.-Oct. 1906. However I do not believe that it was recorded before Apr. 18, 1906, which was the date of the earthquake. I listed the possible recording date as ca. May-Oct.1906.
The second image has the cat. # etched in the runout as 3490-1. Indicating Take 1. Dahr does not list a take #.
The reverse image has 413 to the right of the spindle hole near that dot which has the number 85 on it.
