slholzer 11th Jun 2017		I can't help but wonder what is involved in the "procurement' of an original melody. Perhaps John V. Eppel was a musicologist and collected it, or perhaps it is a polite way of saying he stole it, but the word has the feel of something you do with loose women in back alleys. I don't think I would have wanted my name connected with that verb in 1918.
