Exact release date zeroed in, with a little thanks to Sony Music's archives . . .

Changed the given "21 Sep 1946" release date which can't be right, as the record was already "Going Strong" in the week ending September 13 according to the Billboard of Sep 21, 1946, p. 25, and was first mentioned among the "Record Possibilities" for the week ending August 29 according to the Billboard of Sep 7, 1946, p. 31. W.B.lbl may add the accurate day to my August 1946 suggestion.

"Rumors Are Flying", with vocal by Marjorie Hughes who was actually Frankie Carle's daughter, actually became a #1 in Billboard's pop charts (Best-Selling Popular Retail Records) for 8 weeks (Oct 19 - Dec 7, 1946).
