Notes

The monochrome image is from Arthur Badrock's Parlophone E5000 Series Book.

The vocalist on Side A is Billy Jones.

The 'Made in England' is because this disc is Parlophone E5433 issued November 1925 with Side B as The Parlophone Syncopators.

The recordings were originally from Okeh 40425 - where side B is Okeh Syncopators.

The composer of "I Miss My Swiss", shown on the label as L. Woolfe-Gilbert should be L. Wolfe Gilbert.

Thanks - that Facebook disc side is from Okeh 40549 (see ODP) originally as the Yellow Jackets, and probably on Parlophone too. Arthur Badrock does note that there were more of this type of disc known.

According to someone who has one, they were actually pressed - not pasted-over. They were "Released to coincide with the opening of Parliament house in 1927." (The building xiphophilos linked to, not the one scrough linked to)

Not sure if you have to be a member of the following facebook group, 'Gramophone and Phonograph Collector's Downunder', to see the contents, but they posted about it here.

[*Edit: definitely a paste-over label]

@scrough -- I think it is -- it looks like the pasteover was used on imported Parlophone records. I wonder if the pastover label and my label should be merged into something that shows a distinct difference from the US origin Capitol

Or could it be this earlier Melborne building? Note the central steps.

The building is the Old Parliament House in Canberra, Australia. In operation from 1927-1988, it is now the Museum of Australian Democracy:

Exactly JG. I thought someone might identify this as the Australian Parliament Building or similar, rather than the White House. Is it the same as this label?

This Capitol label is not the same as the label of US origin

Here's a puzzle for you all, especially our Australian members.
