slholzer ● 23rd Aug 2017		The kantele is a plucked string instrument in the zither family. It is a Finnish traditional instrument. As you can hear on the associated clips, it is a very resonant instrument with a lovely harp-like sound. I'm surprised it isn't better known here, in spite of its origins in one of the most out-of-the-way parts of the world. While I've got the box open, I should point out that the labels in the video clips are a variant of the labels illustrated in the scans.
