xiphophilos 30th Jul 2018		The label name changes over time. In 1908, for example, it is "Syrena-Rekord." In 1919, it's "Siren-Record." In 1924, you can find both the names "Syrena-Electro" and "Syrena-Grand-Record." From ca. 1926, the name becomes "Syrena," although the company name "Syrena Record" is listed at the bottom of the label. By 1929, which is approximately the date for our record above, the company name has been dropped from the label. For simplicity's sake, it seems we should just leave it at "Syrena", as on the label above.

tkonst 16th Jun 2013		Syrena was such a large firm that drives her even in America and selling it produced there records (USA). Houses in Ukraine, I have one drive early siren - 191h period with Cyrillic lettering.



TheJudge 16th Jun 2013		Judging by Wikipedia, those look like Polish-style quotation marks, so I'd back Tkonst's opinion. I daresay it would have been fairly easy for a Polish release to find its way to Poland pre-WWII.
