 Talking about "Milk Cow Blues", I have to concede that this version that I haven't heard yet was the first Western swing version of the song, already recorded February 5, 1937, at the St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Still, it was Johnnie Lee Wills And His Boys' 1941 version, with two new verses sung (and possibly invented) by Cotton Thompson, that proved to be the main influence on everybody after them including Elvis.
