Spade Cooley, fiddle; Jack Rivers, guitar & vocals; Pete Wray, guitar & vocals; Texas Jim Lewis, string bass; Larry 'Pedro' DePaul, Hammond Solovox & accordion
The Solovox was introduced by Laurens Hammond in 1940, so this must be one of the first records featuring a Hammond organ-sounding device - pretty cool really. DePaul might be jumping back and forth from accordion to Solovox, but when it comes in, it's pretty distinct. The Solovox solo is more prominent on "Worried Mind." |
