xiphophilos 14th Jun 2023		The B side label of this record has a similar number tag as Mike's copy of Columbia 36767. I didn't try to soak and remove it because the combination with the address sticker shows that this is not a library copy, but it belonged to a private person. Dorothy and Robert Graham, who in the '40s and '50s resided in Portland, from what I could see in the 30 minutes or so I spent at their estate sale in a different city, were avid square dancers who owned hundreds of mostly C&W and square dancing records (most of whom probably remained unsold). They would lug them around to square dance competitions in portable record storage boxes with numbered cardboard dividers. My guess is that the number stickers came with these storage boxes and were used to easily find the slot where this record was supposed to be refiled after use.
