"A Perfect Day " was first released in January 1917 on Victor labels. After fall 1917 labels bore the Victrola name. In addition, two completely different recordings were issued with this catalog number. Note that the Victor version does not have the ornate "spider web back" that appears on the later Victrola version.

Mx. B-17154-4 was recorded on September 25, 1916 and features Charles Harrison (tenor vocals), William Hooley (bass vocals), Harry Macdonough (tenor vocals) and Reinald Werrenrath (baritone vocals) and an orchestra directed by Richard Hageman. This is the version that appears on the disc with the Victor label I uploaded.

Mx. B17154-6 was recorded on December 27, 1916 and features Lambert Murphy (tenor vocals), William Hooley (bass vocals), John Wells (tenor vocals) and Reinald Werrenrath (baritone vocals) and an orchestra directed by Josef Pasternack.

It isn't clear which of these recordings appears on the version bearing the Victrola label.

cf. John R. Bolig, The Victor Red Seal Discography Volume 1 (Single-Sided Series), p.68.
