Columbia, SC, and 1949, are all coherent with conjectures I have made as to who the fiddle, banjo and electric guitar player might be. I´ll have to research further before I can safely say anything - but all is starting to line up pretty clearly... | |
| xiphophilos 15th Dec 2017 | This is a small, regional label that apparently did not advertise in Billboard, so it's difficult to track this down. The only references I can find to the band, Bob Foster and his Driftin' Troubadours, is in the Gastonia, NC, "Gazette" from May 30 and May 31, 1949, when they did a concert in town. I assume that's about the time this record was released. | |
