Actually there was a Vocalion issue of this single, and it preceded the Perfect and Romeo issues and had a higher circulation (Vocalion 03623). In fact, only the Vocalion issue was released on August 1st, 1937, whereas the "dime store" labels reissue can be dated to September 1937 by the catalogue number (the first digit denotes the year, the next block the month of release and the last one the serial number in the month), and it actually was on the label flyers for that month. (Strikingly, Johnson's records were not on the biggest of the dime store labels, Melotone.)

400 copies were pressed of Perfect 7-09-56 and 75 copies were pressed of Romeo 7-09-56.
There is no reference to a Vocalion co-issue on this particular release copy notice. The release date is given as August 1st 1937.
