 Rust's Jazz Records 6th Ed. and Allan Sutton's Pseudonyms on American Records 1892-1942 both indicate that Hamfoot Ham on this disc is not Wilbur "Kansas Joe" McCoy but the Hamfats' leader, Herb Morand. In this regard, it is a departure from the usual case, where Hamfoot Ham usually is Joe McCoy, as Sutton admits, and as might be inferred from Rust's listings of the band, as well.

I am not personally familiar with McCoy's voice. It seems to me, however, that the voice on the two video clips is quite distinctive and that this issue ought to be resolvable by reference to other Hamfats recordings conceded to be by McCoy.
