dewey70 24th May 2023		The copy i used to have of “Money Marbles and Chalk” by Stubby and the Buccaneers, while it had the standard Mercury label, was on ridiculously thin vinyl.
GimmeVinyl 5th Dec 2022		These plastic releases by Mercury are certainly making me very curious... This one (from what I've seen) seems to be the first, and the last one I'd seen is from June, 1951. The 1948 pressings all say "not to be sold" .. by 1949, this seems no longer to be the case. Was this an experiment with vinyl by Mercury? We do know that all of the V-Discs, (except early Columbia pressings) were vinyl.. but given the late date of Mercury's inception in 1945, they may have been excluded from the V-Disc program. Were these vinyl Mercury pressings meant for jukebox/radio play?
