 Another version of "Santa Claus Blues" by Clarence Williams' Blue Five with Eva Taylor was released on OKeh 8245 in November 1925 (Talking Machine World, Nov 15, 1925, p. 198, "for December").

Both sides feature Louis Armstrong on cornet. Although announced for release early in 1926, this record apparently came out in December 1925, as the B-side was "a very slow reworking of the song recorded a week earlier, also released for the Christmas market", see The Louis Armstrong Discography.
Against the B-side label, the Clarence Williams' Trio was an instrumental trio consisting of piano, banjo (played by Buddy Christian) instead of guitar, and cornet, and a vocal trio (Eva Taylor, Clarence Williams, and Clarence Todd) instead of a vocal duet.
