I thought I had seen "When or Were" on Popsike once on Reo, but then I was locked out of the site, so couldn't check again. I must have confused it with the single 78rpm copy on London listed there. I've corrected my post below.

I only added the buy it now price because it did sell for that much.
Also was where or when really released on a 78? If it’s serial number was #8445 than it would be after Marina by rocco Granata which is the confirmed last Reo 78

Yes, someone clearly had deep pockets and was willing to pay more than most, but he did pay this, so the record "has actually sold" for £98. As fantastic as the price may sound, it's not a complete fantasy price.

Note also that this exorbitant price was paid for an EX- copy whereas the two others were only VG+ ($39) and one even only G+ ($20).

Well, the "buy it now" price that we have here, seems to be a bit of a stretch compared to what it has actually sold for.

You definitely were lucky to find it, not to mention for that price. Could you please upload an image of the B side as well?

Dion And The Belmonts released 4 of the 5 records we have listed on U.K. London also on the Canadian Reo label, including 2 we don't have listed yet.:

#8244 Teen Angel / I Wonder Why (1958)
#8278 I Can't Go On (Rosalie) / No One Knows (1958)

Based on what I can see, your eBay values are all sold prices that people actually paid in 2018 and 2021. I don't see any of these Reo 78s currently on sale on Canadian, US, or British eBay.

in my understanding, as long as someone was willing to actually pay a certain price on eBay, it's fair game to list that price, regardless whether the record was listed for auction or with a "Buy It Now" price. Only if some seller simply demands a price that no one might ever pay do we exclude it.

Since when do we use an eBay "buy it now" listing as a value?

I got really lucky getting this record for $5 today. Idk how many Dion 78s were released in Canada but they’re very rare
