Your label variation is actually the original set of labels, tagged as part of the "Sepia Series". Introduced in October 1940 with #8500, this series was rivaling Decca's general 7000 "race" series. The Sepia name was dropped at the end of 1942 (the last number with it that I have seen is #8644), and the series was phased out in 1945 with #8673.
