rhythmdog 27th Nov 2024		Opinions vary as to the release date, with some sources claiming a 1964 or even 1965 date. However, the label logo strikes me as indicating 1959 - identical to the design on Music City 78-819 but definitely done after Laurie London's hit of 1959. And now, after having studied carefully the discography in "The Music City Story" CD box set, it's clear that the gospel/comedy series ran backwards starting with number 888 and ending with this, 882 - which also helps to situate this record in 1959.
