I also added record labels. The label design still looks very much like the previous Philo labels and was used only for a few months (between March and May 1946). When Aladdin Records introduced their 500 and 2000 series in June 1946, they chose a simpler logo and a title bar filing the content (Jazz Series, Latin-American, Spiritual, Folk Tunes etc.).

This record was first released on the Philo label in Dec 1945 (P118) and reissued on Aladdin A118 in 1946, most probably in April.

A-sides of Philo P115, P116, P117 and P118 were credited to "Cousin Joe with Leonard Feather's Hiptet":
Cousin Joe (aka Pleasant Joseph) (vocal), Dick Vance (trumpet), Al Sears (tenor sax), Harry Carney (baritone sax), Leonard Feather (piano), Jimmy Shirley (guitar), J.C. Heard (drums), Lloyd Trotman (bass).
All recorded in New York City, October 5, 1945.

B-sides of Philo P115, P116, P117 and P118 were credited to "Howard McGhee and His Band":
Howard McGhee (trumpet), James D. King (tenor sax), Teddy Edwards (tenor sax), Roy Porter (drums), Bob Kesterson (bass), Vernon Biddle (piano).
All recorded in Los Angeles, September 4, 1945, supervised by Norman Granz.
In some discographies these sides are miscredited to "Teddy Edwards and His Band".

See The Aladdin Records Story for more information and label images.
