Mike Gann 26th Dec 2021		The printing code seems to be the same on my images, and fredhoyt's images. But it's hard to make out if it's "IX" or "JX"



xiphophilos 26th Dec 2021		What is the label printing code to the right of the spindle hole? It seems to end in X, but the images are slightly blurry, and I can't read the first letter with certainty. It is IX (= Sept. 1919) on all of them? It seems the A side image of your variant uses a slightly older label design: Repress on Gold Band label with six patent dates in two lines of unequal length (the lower one longer) (sub-variety iii), The other three labels show a Gold Band label with "Grafonola" in the logo, five patents in two lines of equal length (sub-variety iv), cf. M. Sherman & K. Nauck, "Note the Notes," page 28. That would indicate that the switch from sub-variety iii to sub-variety iv happened in September 1919.
