xiphophilos 1st Sep 2022		Cal Stewart died of either a brain tumor or pneumonia on December 7, 1919, so these late recordings were Columbia's first posthumous release of an Uncle Josh record and sold like hotcakes. Stewart had recorded versions of the first sketch, "Uncle Josh And The Fire Department", as early as 1903, one released as Victor 2575, another released as Columbia 1505.
