Mike Gann 16th Jan 2024		The only matrix with an "A" prefix that I can think of at the moment would be something from Pathé



xiphophilos 16th Jan 2024		Or is it Ignacy Podgórski i jego Nadzwyczajna Orkiestra, playing "Krakowiak z Malopolski" (Victor matrix BRC-70515): https://adp.library.ucsb.edu/index.php/matrix/detail/800036717/BRC-70515-Krakowiak_z_Malopolski from 1931? But the label looks nothing like the Victor test pressing labels in Mike Sherman's "Collector's Guide for Victor Records," pages 216-217. It also doesn't look the like Columbia Test Record or Test Pressing labels in Mike Sherman & Kurt Nauck, "Note The Notes: An Illustrated History of the Columbia Record Label 1901-1958," page 60. All of these display the company name prominently.



Mike Gann 16th Jan 2024		The genres were originally tagged as brass & military and jazz so maybe it's something by Jim Europe, W.C .Handy or Wilbur Sweatman.
